The Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link will consist of a motorway and rail connection, including an 18 km long tunnel, that will allow faster and safer travel between Scandinavia and continental Europe. It will be the world’s longest immersed tunnel and the longest tunnel for both road and rail traffic. The Owner, Femern A/S, has appointed Femern Link Contractors (FLC) for the Design & Construction of the immersed tunnel, the tunnel portals, and ramps.
CN3 has been commissioned by FLC during tender, design, and execution with the purpose of ensuring constructability, optimizing design, and utilizing digital fabrication to reduce waste, and ensure a high degree of prefabrication and industrialized construction methods.
