Skandinaviska Glassystem was responsible for the construction of the double-layered facade, which is the architectural core of the new Tivoli building on the corner of Bernstorffsgade and Vesterbrogade. A dynamic solar screening solution, developed in close collaboration with Art Andersen, is integrated into the facade itself.
CN3 was responsible for management of the project and development of the facade from schematic design to complete detailed design. In collaboration with Skandinaviska Glassystem and through continuous visualizations of various building sections, CN3 ensured the optimal basis for the development of constructible and beautiful details.
The facade was largely built as modules, which enabled a streamlined and industrialized on-site assembly of the otherwise highly complex double facade. The modularization of the facade was the result of a structured geometric optimization process ensuring maximum repetition in the complex facade. This made efficient prefabrication of modules and accurate on-site assembly possible.
