As part of the Korsvägen infrastructure project in Gothenburg, Sweden, CN3 was engaged to deliver specialized engineering services for critical diaphragm wall components.
During the execution stage, CN3 developed detailed 3D models and production drawings for the complex reinforcement cages used in the diaphragm walls. These massive structures, standing approximately 20 meters high, required precise engineering to ensure structural integrity during transport and installation. The detailed models were optimized for prefabrication while accounting for weight limitations and installation constraints.
To ensure efficient communication between project stakeholders across Europe, CN3 established a streamlined workflow for the entire detailing process. This enabled effective collaboration between the design and construction teams despite geographical separation.
The technical complexity of the diaphragm walls presented unique challenges that exceeded the client’s in-house capabilities. CN3 addressed these challenges through specialized structural analysis and documentation, providing critical support for the approval process. The solutions implemented by CN3 were tailored to the client’s specific requirements, enabling on-time production of all reinforcement cages.
The optimized prefabrication approach accelerated the installation process while maintaining the high quality standards required for this critical infrastructure component.
The Korsvägen project highlighted CN3’s ability to deliver specialized technical solutions for complex infrastructure elements, demonstrating how expert engineering can enhance constructability and streamline project execution.
